In junior high science, students perform a variety of hands-on demonstrations, activities, labs, and experiments. Student scientists focus on the scientific method while completing these in-class activities. There are also numerous at-home projects that are assigned.
Some examples include: weather projects on a certain international city, edible models of the human skeletal system, and a dissection of a chicken wing comparing it to human anatomy.
The eighth grade has built functioning volcanoes, classified a variety of plant leaves, and completed a virtual fossil hunt.
