Hello! and welcome to my Webpage!!!

My name is John Ling.
I have been with St. Edward's Music Department since the summer of 1991, after receiving my music degree from North Park University. Also, I belong to the Chicago Federation of Musicians Union and perform professionally in the Chicagoland area. My goal is to encourage students to have music as part of their activities, in a Christian environment.

I provide 1/2 hour private lessons on both violin and viola.
(Group lessons are also available.)

I direct two ensembles: Junior Orchestra and Beginner Strings
and  I coach the Senior Orchestra String Sectional.
