Catholic Schools Week went very well.   Everyone enjoyed the 7th and 8th Graders' Music Projects.

 

The audience definitely was well entertained on Grandparents' Day.   They especially liked a song the chorus performed which included some history about Woodstock and Hippies.

 

Our celebration of Jazz in February features the pianist and composer Herbie Hancock.

 

The Don Stille Quartet performed for our Jazz Program.   Mr. Stille played the piano and also demonstrated that an accordion can play jazz.   Especially exciting was hearing the saxophonists, Eric Schneider.   He's very well known on the Chicago Jazz Scene and was featured this month on the cover of Chicago Jazz Magazine.

 

We had our first rehearsal for the All-Star Concert.   Reserve the date... April 24.

 

The Adjudications for our instrumental students is coming up very quickly.   The date is March 6.

 

Also, reserve March 10 for the Woodwind, Brass and Percussion Recital.
