Principal’s News – Oct. 24th

Dear St. Edward School Families,
Thank you to the Student Council and all of the staff and students who participated in the Pink Out Day on Monday.  All of the funds raised were donated to the Women’s Health Center at Swedish Covenant Hospital.
Halloween and the Fun Fair are next Wednesday, October 31!  Students are allowed to wear costumes to school with the following restrictions:
  • no weapons
  • no face paint/make up
  • no masks
  • no gore
  • no hair dye (wigs are okay but teachers may ask that they be taken off during the instructional portion of the day)
  • costumes must be school appropriate and follow the regular dress down day rules
I would like to invite all school families to the 16th Annual Mayfair Community Salute to American Heroes this year.  Our own Sister Shirley Stockus will be honored for her service to the education of children in the Mayfair area.  The ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at 1:30 PM at the Mayfair Veterans Memorial.  Along with Sr. Shirley, veterans, first responders, and civic leaders will be honored.
Tomorrow you should be receiving a test email and phone message from School Messenger, our new school-wide communication system that will be used to send messages to the entire school community and to specific grade levels.  The service will also be used to communicate information to you in the event that school needs to be canceled.  If you do not receive the email and phone message during the day tomorrow, please email with your name, child’s name, and correct contact information.
Please contact the office with any questions.
Let’s have the faith to move mountains this year!  St. Edward, pray for us!
Mrs. Sara Lasica, Principal
