Yes, this is my final parent letter. My twenty-seven years at St. Edward School has been such a blessing. I had no idea when I arrived in 1991 that I would be here until 2018. Where has the time gone? St. Edward will always hold special memories for me and, of course, it is my favorite place this side of heaven. Thank you all for your support and love. You have made my final years as a principal one that I will cherish forever. Know that each of you has a place in my heart and prayers. I now leave you in the hands of Sara Lasica who brings many gifts to St. Edward School.
Father Michael Cronin, our pastor, will be retiring on June 30th. We thank him for his eight years of ministry to St. Edward Parish. He was a great supporter of the school and a good friend. We wish him well as he begins another journey in his life as a priest. Thanks you Fr. Mike, you will be missed.
A big thank you to my secretary, Cathy McGill, who kept the office afloat and wore many hats over the years. I could not have done my job without her. She was indispensible. Thank you Cathy, for keeping things going for twenty-six years.
Father Dominic Clemente has endeared himself to St. Edward School and Parish. We thank him for all he has done for us and look forward to his many visits next school year.
As we end another year, we must say good-bye to several people. First, we bid our eighth graders farewell as they start a new chapter in their lives. Thank you for the leadership you have shown this year and good luck in high school.
Mrs. Kim Malinowski, our junior high science teacher, is leaving us this year. We will miss her but know that she will enjoy having more time with her son, Mason, and her husband, Steve. Thanks, Kim, for your many years as a science teacher, friend, and mentor. We know you will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Nicole Applegate, our fourth and fifth grade science teacher will be leaving, also. She plans to spend more time with her daughter, Allie, and her husband Al. Nicole will surely be missed on the second floor by students, her colleagues, and the parents.
Mrs. Marie Murphy, Kindergarten Rm. 101, is expecting a baby in July and will return to school toward the end of October. She will be missed but we will welcome her with open arms upon her return..
