We will soon begin another school year and you will once again share your children with us. St. Edward School offers your children a fine academic curriculum, excellent teachers and, most importantly, formation and instruction in the beliefs, values, and traditions of Catholic Christianity.
This packet of information is sent to you in order to facilitate the opening of school. Please keep this information (post it on the refrigerator!) handy for future reference.
Class schedule for 2017 – 2018: doors open each day at 7:50A.M. and class begins at 8:00A.M. School will dismiss daily at 3:00P.M. Students attending half-day Kindergarten will meet daily from 8:00 AM to 11:10AM.
FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL

Thursday, August 17 8:00A.M. to 3:00P.M.

Please note: Kindergarten will meet between 8:00AM and 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 16th for a meet and greet and to drop off supplies in the classroom.
Preschool Schedule: Class and Fee schedules. are enclosed for preschool families.
BOOK FEE: ($10.00 Supply Fee included)
$285 per student in grades FD Preschool thru Grade 8
$235 per student in Part Time Preschool
$50 per student in grades K ,1 ,2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8
$150 per student in grade 6
The August Tuition payment, Book Fee and Technology Fee should be made to SMART TUITION. You should have received an invoice or e-mail regarding your Tuition and August fees. A Late Fee will be charged. Enclosed in the back to school mailing is your child’s Room assignment, Tuition Contract, and Family Emergency form. Please sign and complete both forms and return them to school on August 16th.

NEW STUDENT RECORDS: If your child has not previously attended St. Edward School please bring a copy of their Baptismal Certificate and Birth Certificate. If you have already done so – thank you!
MEDICAL RECORDS: Important dental and health records for Preschool, Kindergarten, Second grade, Transfer students and all Sixth grade students must be turned in on or before the first day of school. PLEASE NOTE: Students entering Grade 6 are required to receive one dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine on or after their 11th birthday.
MILK and HOT LUNCH PROGRAM: Information about this will be distributed on the first day of school.
SUPPLIES: A list of required school supplies was sent home in May. Chandler assignment notebooks, required for students in Grades 3- 8, Book Sox, and 8-pocket folders will be distributed on the first day of school.
LUNCHTIME FEE: Fee can be paid through Give Central link on school homepage (stedwardschool.com). This money is used to pay for the lunchtime supervision. The fee schedule is as follows:
Before October 1, 2017 $110 for one child and $25.00 for each additional child in family.
After October 1, 2017 $120 for one child and $25.00 for each additional child in family.
UNIFORMS: Uniforms, including Warm Weather Uniforms, are to be worn on the first day of school and every day thereafter. Boys in grades 4- 8 must have uniform shirts with the school logo. They may be purchased at School Belles (Foster and Harlem) and Lands End. Please pay special attention to all uniform regulations printed in Parent Handbook (front part of school calendar). Also, uniform gym attire is required for students in grades 1 thru 8 and can only be purchased at Land’s End. There is a link for that on school home page (stedwardschool.com)
CALENDAR / PARENT HANDBOOK: A school calendar/Parent Handbook will be given to you on the first day of school (one per family). PLEASE READ THE POLICIES CAREFULLY. There are changes that require your cooperation. Please make every effort to schedule medical/dental appointments and vacations outside of school time.
