Like most Catholic schools, we depend on the generosity of our school families and the support of our parish. There are a number of different fundraising activities during the year run by the School Board and its committees or the St. Edward Parents Organization (SEPO). The school's main fundraisers are the Big Red Auction, which is held in the spring; Chalk Walk (fall), a gift-wrap sale (fall), Market Day (all year long) and the sale of T.R.I.P. gift certificates throughout the year.
All families are encouraged to participate in as many fundraising activities to the best of their abilities. Parents are also encouraged to volunteer for a variety of special activities and events that are held during the year. There is no minimum fundraising dollar amount or volunteer hour requirement per family.
The Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (T.R.I.P.) is a fundraiser that enables families to reduce their tuition by purchasing gift certificates from participating vendors.
The School Board undertakes a few key fund raising programs/events throughout the year. They include:
* The Big Red Auction - Annual silent auction event
* Chalk Walk - Walkathon. A healthy alternative event
* T.R.I.P. - Tuition Reduction Incentive Program
* Monthly Market Day
* SEPO Gift Wrap Sale
* Carson's Days
* Jewel Shop 'n' Share Days
All told, these events raise $75,000 - $80,000 a year for the school.
