Music has been a tradition at St. Edward School for over 100 years. St. Edward’s Music Program has been recognized by the Archdiocese of Chicago as being one of the best music programs for elementary students in Chicago. Many of our students go on to continue their music studies in high school, college and beyond.
The Music Department is directed by Mrs. Glorianna Bata. There are eleven music teachers on staff at St. Edward. Children attend music classes beginning in first grade. Children in grades one through six have sixty minutes of music per week. Junior high students have 40 minutes of music per week.
