My name is Ms. Tracy Mortimer, and I have been teaching at St. Edward School since February of 2002. I have a long line of Catholic schooling and experience behind me. I graduated grade school from St. Timothy in 1984, and high school from Good Counsel in 1988. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Northeastern Illinois University in 1999, and obtained my Type 75 Master’s Degree in Administration from Benedictine University in 2007. Along with teaching the Junior High Language Arts program, I have also been serving as Assistant Principal since 2007 as well. I have one daughter who has attended St. Edward School since 4 year old preschool, and is currently in fifth grade.
GRADES ARE ONLINE!!!
As in previous years, I will once again be using an online gradebook. This gradebook allows you access at any time to see the most recent grades your child is receiving in my classes. I update the gradebook several times per week to try and make sure that you can view the most up-to-date possible grades.
MyGradeBook has several features which puts it at the top of the list of teacher gradebooks. It is a full-featured, completely secure Internet site that allows teachers to create accounts online and store their students’ scores.
MyGradeBook has “the parent/student viewer” which allows you to log in and view only your child’s grade. In order to use this feature, you will be given a password from me to access only your child’s summary.
Now, when your child says “I finished all my work in school!”, or “That was the easiest test I’ve ever taken!” - YOU can go online and check!!! MyGradeBook allows all of us – the teacher, the parent, and the student – to work together to ensure your child’s success in school.
Here is the internet address and classwords you need in order to check your child’s grade summary:
http://www.mygradebook.com and enter the classword and your child’s personal password information.
