Hello! My name is Mrs. Kristen  Dicks.  I have been teaching at St.  Edward School for five years,  with this being my fourth year in  third  grade.  I am a graduate of Illinois State University with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish.  This winter my husband and I are expecting our first child, a baby girl. 

 

My class will be studying and working on many new and exciting things this year.  Third grade is a year of transition from the  development of skills to the development of independence.  It is  a  time for students to begin to assume responsibility for their education and become life-long learners.   My goal for this year is to  adequately prepare each child  for fourth grade in an atmosphere  of faith, love, and learning.
